Fremont, Ohio – September 20, 2023 – The Fremont Company, a food manufacturer from Fremont, Ohio since 1905, is proud to announce the tremendous success of its philanthropic initiative, “Fremont Cares.” The program, which seeks to make a meaningful impact in the local communities where its three plants are located, recently achieved a remarkable milestone by raising $3,200 to support local school lunch programs and food pantries. Employees purchased raffle tickets with each dollar being matched by The Fremont Company to achieve that total.
President of The Fremont Company, Chris Smith, expressed immense pride in the company’s employees and their dedication to giving back to the community. “At The Fremont Company, our core value is to Feed the World like Family and through programs like this we honor that value. The outstanding success of our ‘Fremont Cares’ program is a testament to the compassion and commitment of our employees,” Chris Smith stated.
Raffle prizes that scored big
As part of the Fremont Cares initiative, employees from The Fremont Company actively participated in a raffle fundraiser, purchasing tickets for an opportunity to win exciting big-ticket items. The raffle features coveted prizes, including multiple sets of Ohio State football tickets and Cleveland Browns football game tickets, which generates substantial enthusiasm among the employees. Another popular item to bid on was a day off, paid.
In its 6th year, the record breaking donations will be directly channeled into local school lunch programs, focused on paying off student lunch debt in Fremont City schools and Parkway City schools along with stocking shelves at McKinley Food Pantry.
