THE FREMONT COMPANY HOSTS WEST OHIO FOOD BANK MOBILE DISTRIBUTION EVENT

Rockford, OH – The Fremont Company through their Fremont Cares Program, has partnered with the West Ohio Food Bank to host its monthly food distribution mobile event. Fremont employees volunteered to work together and distribute food to over 200 Mercer County families. All members of the local community were welcome to drive through the Fremont Company, Rockford Plant parking lot and receive meat, fresh produce, and pantry staples loaded directly by volunteers into their vehicles. With skyrocketing food inflation, food bank distributions lessen the burden of food insecurities and bringing it to Rockford was an additional way to make it easy for its residents to participate. As one employee volunteer noted, “It was a good day for the people in our area.”

Formed in 2017, the Fremont Cares program has also donated food manufactured by the company directly to the West Ohio Food Bank. Fremont Cares is a program that supports one of the company’s core guiding principles which is to “Care for our local communities through donations of our time and talents.”

The Fremont Company, Rockford Plant, manufacturers tomato-based sauces and has been Rockford, Ohio’s, largest employer since 1945. The Fremont Company has over 100 years’ experience in the manufacturing of tomato-based sauces, fermented and pickled vegetables, and other specialty foods.
