Fremont, OH — On Friday, May 9, 2025, The Fremont Company, in partnership with the West Ohio Food Bank, hosted its 4th Annual Fremont Cares Food Bank Drive-Thru, distributing nearly 20,000 pounds of food to local families in need.
This year’s event served 81 families, including 39 first-time recipients. In total, 251 individuals received nutritious food through this contactless, mobile distribution effort.
“To see so many new families turning to us for the first time shows how important these events are. It reminds us why we continue to host this food drive-thru annually.” Said Chris Smith, President of The Fremont Company.
The event, held at Fremont’s ketchup factory in Rockford, provided 19,978 pounds of groceries, with the help of West Ohio Food Bank’s mobile food distribution unit and volunteers from both organizations. The drive-thru model ensured a safe, accessible, and efficient experience for every participant.
Since its inception, the Fremont Cares initiative has helped connect local families with vital food resources, strengthening the partnership between The Fremont Company and the West Ohio Food Bank. This year’s success underscores the growing demand for these services and the importance of continued community collaboration.
